Posted by Scott McCain on Oct 22, 2015 4:30:00 AM

A native of Lexington, South Carolina, Kayla Swails began her studies at CIU in 2012 in the teacher education program. She was a standout for White Knoll High School where was captain for two years, leading the team into regional play twice.

Swails is a leader on and off the field. She served this past summer with the W. Soccer: Kayla SwailsChicago Eagles, using soccer as a way to share the gospel. She also volunteers at the Daybreak Crisis Pregnancy Center after school program, and teaches Sunday school.

Coach Farnsworth comments: “Kayla Swails is an incredible addition to our program. Her heart for the Lord is reflected in the way she loves her teammates daily. She has a knack for making her teammates laugh while pushing them toward excellence.”
